Goldeneye Ecological Services

Goldeneye Ecological Services is an ecological consulting agency led by Registered Professional Biologist Rachel Darvill, BSc., MSc. With nearly three decades of field experience in British Columbia, we specialize in avian ecology, species-at-risk inventory and monitoring, habitat assessments and enhancements. Our work integrates rigorous scientific methodology with historical and regional ecological knowledge to support evidence-based conservation planning and biodiversity management.
Goldeneye Ecological Services offers technical expertise in multi-season biological inventories, long-term monitoring program design, and habitat enhancement or restoration planning. Rachel has extensive experience collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders including Indigenous communities, government agencies, environmental NGOs, and academic partners. She is known for her collaborative leadership on initiatives such as the Upper Columbia Swallow Habitat Enhancement Project, and Species at Risk projects in the Columbia Valley which combines applied research, habitat enhancement, stakeholder engagement and community science engagement.
We provide ecological solutions that inform land-use decisions, species recovery efforts, and watershed-level conservation strategies.
